IGINIIT ng isang miyembro ng Kamara de Representantes ang pangangailangan na makilala ang hitman na kinausap ni Vice President Sara Duterte upang patayin sina Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr., First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos at Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez.

“The Vice President’s statement is deeply alarming and raises serious national security concerns,” sabi ni Bukidnon Rep. Jonathan Keith Flores, isang abogado.

“We must ascertain who this ‘mystery assassin’ is. Is this individual part of the Vice President’s trusted security detail, a member of the notorious syndicate, or a hired gun? The fact that Vice President Duterte claims to have personally communicated with this person, who allegedly agreed to her directive, indicates a close and trusted relationship,” sabi pa ng kongresista.

Sinabi ni Flores na dapat makilala ang hitman sa lalong madaling panahon gaya ng utos ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin sa Presidential Security Command (PSC) na tiyakin na masusuri ng husto ang bawat anggulo bago mahuli ang lahat.

“With the Vice President’s own admission, which she stressed ‘is no joke,’ and the fact that she is the primary beneficiary should the president be killed, VP Sara must be considered a person of interest,” saad pa ng kongresista.

Nanawagan din ang kongresista na repasuhin ang Vice Presidential Security and Protection Group (VPSPG) na itinayo umano ilang araw bago bumaba sa puwesto si dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

“It’s imperative that President Marcos reassess this setup. Perhaps it’s time to disband VPSPG altogether and just have PSC manage the security of both the President and Vice President under a single apparatus. Entrusting Vice President Duterte with her own ‘private army’ is concerning, especially given her recent statements,” sabi pa nito.

Nanawagan din ang kongresista sa mga otoridad na magsagawa ng masusing imbestigasyon sa pagbabanta sa buhay ng mga lider ng bansa at upang matiyak na mangingibabaw ang batas.
