Inamin ni James Reid na hindi niya intensyong pagkakitaan ang itinayo niyang music label na Careless Music and as an artist himself, he still makes his own money.

Sa kanyang panayam kay MJ Marfori, ayon sa actor/singer/manager/record producer, hindi niya itinayo ang Careless Music para maging source of income kundi talagang para makatulong lang sa artists.

“For me, it’s really not about the profit margins when it comes to Careless Music label. I always wanted it to be just a safe space for artists to grow, discover their sounds. That’s what I use it for,” aniya.

“I make my money in my own ways, you know, of course I have endorsements and those other things.

“But then, really, the music label wasn’t designed to be like that. It was designed to just help artists grow and be able to you know, take risks with their music,” dagdag niya.

Gusto raw niyang mag-explore ang kanyang mga artist na naa-achieve naman nila just like what they’re doing with Liza Soberano na naka-penetrate sa Hollywood.

“We’re so proud of her and what she’s accomplished. I still remember when we first spoke. She said when we asked her ‘what do you want to do?’ and she said, ‘hmm, no one’s really asked me that before’ and she said, ‘I wanna go and do Hollywood. So, now she’s doing it,” ani James.

Ibinalita rin ng aktor/singer na may pelikula siyang gagawin na siya rin ang producer.

“I always planned on going back to acting. I never said that you know, ‘I quit.’ It was just I wanted to do music because when I had left ‘that kind’ of show business in film and TV and the loveteam and everything, I wanted to figure out who I was outside of a pair. Who is James Reid if there’s no loveteam?

“And I felt that through music. That I could really discover myself and what makes me ‘me’ and it’s been great,” pahayag ni James.

Hindi pa idinetalye ng aktor/singer ang bagong proyektong gagawin at abangan na lang daw.
