NAHAWA ng COVID-19 ang 98-anyos na si dating Senate Presidente Juan Ponce Enrile.

Sa isang Facebook post, sinabi ni Enrile na siya ay nasa Makati Medical Center at nagpapagaling.

“To all my FB friends, critics, and enemies: Please bear with me. I am in the hospital. To my critics and enemies: Do not clap with glee. I am not going to die yet. Far from it. God gave me very good doctors. He want me, I humbly think, to stay here for sometime more to engage you to help clear and clean up, if possible, your distorted narrative of our history for the benefit of the uninformed innocent people,” sabi ni Enrile sa kanyang post.

Sinabi ni Enrile na wala itong nararamdamang sintomas ng COVID-19.

“I never had any discomfort. No chills. No fever. No head ache. No malaise. My body temperature ranges from 36* to 36.8*. My body oxygen ranges from 96 to 99. All my physical vital signs and blood chemistry readings were normal. The only thing I had was a dry intermittent, sometimes intense, coughing,” ayon pa kay Enrile.

Batay sa resulta ng CT-Scan, sinabi ni Enrile na siya ay mayroong mild COVID-19 pneumonia.

Hiniling umano ni Enrile kay Executive Secretary-designate Victor Rodriguez na sabihan si incoming President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. kaugnay ng kanyang kondisyon at ang hindi nito pagdalo sa gaganaping inagurasyon sa Huwebes.

Si Enrile ay napili ni Marcos na maging presidential legal adviser.
