SA botong 275, inaprubahan ng Kamara de Representantes ang panukala na ituro ng komprehensibo ang kasaysayan ng Pilipinas noong World War II sa tertiary education.

Walang tumutol sa pag-apruba ng House Bill No. 5719 na akda nina Reps. Roman Romulo at Harris Christopher Ongchuan.

“A comprehensive study of Philippine history during World War II shall be integrated into and shall cover a reasonable percentage of the mandatory Philippine History subject being offered under the general education curriculum in higher education courses of all higher education institutions (HEIs) in the country,” sabi ng mga may-akda sa kanilang panukala.

Kung magiging batas, ang Commission on Higher Education (CHED) ay aatasan na gumawa ng programa upang maipatupad ang panukala sa tulong ng National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) at Philippine Veterans Affairs Office-Department of National Defense (PVAO-DND).

Hinihikayat din ng panukala ang mga higher education institution (HEI) na maglagay ng mga libro at iba pang reference materials sa kanilang mga silid-aklatan kaugnay ng WW II.
