Itinulak ni House Committee on Accounts chairperson at Tingog Rep. Yedda Marie Romualdez ang promosyon at proteksyon ng mga karapatan ng mga kababaihan.
Karapatan ng mga kababaihan itinulak ni Rep. Yedda Romualdez
Sa kanyang mensahe sa oath-taking ng mga opisyal ng Association of Women Legislators Foundation, Inc. (AWLFI) sa Malacañang, binigyan-diin ni Romualdez ang kahalagahan ng paggawa ng mga batas upang maipagpatuloy ang pangangalaga sa karapatan ng mga kababaihan.
Si Romualdez ang chairperson ng AWLFI, isang grupo na nagsusulong ng pag-unlad ng mga babae at bata.
Pinangasiwaan ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang panunumpa ng mga opisyal ng AWLFI.
“As you take your oath, remember the pledge that you will carry throughout your role as women leaders who will break barriers not only for your fellow legislators, but for every Filipina as well. I am confident that your pledge will translate into concrete actions, borne out of our collective promise to uplift the lives of every Filipino,” sabi ng Pangulo sa kanyang mensahe.
Bukod kay Romualdez, nanumpa rin sa tungkulin sina Rep. Linabelle Ruth Villarica (4th District, Bulacan) as President; Rep. Florida Robes (Lone District, San Jose Del Monte City) as Senior Vice President; Rep. Emmarie Ouano-Dizon (Lone District, Mandaue City) as Internal Vice President; at Rep. Ma. Lucille Nava (Lone District, Guimaras) as External Vice President.
