SINABI ng House committee on justice na haharapin nila ang testimonya ni Ramil Madriaga kapag ito ay iniharap ng mga complainant sa impeachment laban kay Vice President Sara Z. Duterte, kahit na may hiwalay nang kasong perjury na isinampa laban kay Madriaga.

Ito ang pahayag ng justice panel chair na si Atty. Gerville “Jinky Bitrics” Luistro ng Batangas sa panayam ng broadcast journalist na si Pinky Webb sa On Point ng Bilyonaryo News Channel, nang tanungin kung ang kasong perjury na inihain ni Duterte ay makakaapekto sa committee proceedings.

“We will simply proceed with the proceedings of the Justice committee,” ani Luistro.

“Ibang forum ’yon, where the case of perjury was filed by the Vice President against Ramil Madriaga. This one is separate and distinct from the case that was filed by the Vice President,” dagdag niya.

Kasama sa impeachment complaints ang affidavit ni Madriaga, na una nang idineklarang sapat sa porma at substansiya ng komite. Binigyang-diin ni Luistro na tututukan ng panel ang reklamong nasa kanila, anuman ang mangyari sa hiwalay na kaso.

“Regardless of the filing of the perjury case, the Justice committee will simply proceed to its proceeding and will receive the testimony of Ramil Madriaga the moment he is presented by the complainant,” pahayag ni Luistro.
