NAGLAAN ang gobyerno ng P14 bilyon para sa pensyon ng mga retiradong sundalo, ayon sa Department of Budget and Management (DBM).

Inaprubahan ni Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman ang Special Allotment Release Order (SARO) noong Enero 12 para sa pagpapalabas ng P14,025,351,666 sa Department of National Defense-Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

Saklaw umano ng SARO ang pensyon mula Enero hanggang Marso 2023.

“It is our responsibility to make sure that our retirees, as well as their families, always get the benefits entitled to them,” ani Sec. Pangandaman. “This is the least we can do to show them our sincerest gratitude and respect.”

Mayroong 137,649 retirado ang AFP na tumatanggap ng buwanang pensyon.
