ITINALAGA ni Pangulong Ferdinand R, Marcos Jr. si Gregorio Catapang Jr. bilang direktor ng Bureau of Corrections (BuCor).
Inilabas ng Department of Justice (DOJ) ang kopya ng appointment paper ni Catapang kasabay ng pagbati rito.
“The Department would like to express its full support to the new Director General of the Bureau of Corrections in his endeavor,” sabi ng DOJ sa inilabas nitong pahayag.
Si Catapang ang naging officer-in-charge ng BuCor matapos na masuspendi si Gerald Bantag kaugnay ng pagkakadawit nito sa pagpaslang sa broadcaster na si Percy Lapid.
“Together, we will pursue the planned projects and programs for the betterment of the bureau and the welfare of our PDLs (persons deprived of liberty),” sabi pa ng DOJ.
