INATASAN ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang mga ahensya ng gobyerno na tiyakin ang kaligtasan ng mga overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) at Filipino community sa Israel.

Ayon sa Presidential Communications Office (PCO) inatasan ng Pangulo ang lahat ng ahensya na makipag-ugnayan sa Philippine Embassy sa Tel Aviv at Migrant Workers Office (MWO) sa Israel.

“The President has instructed the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) to locate and account for all overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their families in Israel,” sabi ng pahayag na inilabas ng PCO.

“The DMW has opened a hotline and several Viber and WhatsApp hotline numbers that will accept calls and queries from our OFWs and the Filipino community who are in need of government assistance,” dagdag pa ng ahensya.

Ayon sa ulat nasa 200 Israeli ang nasawi at hindi matukoy na dami ng sibilyan at sundalo ang hinostage ng militant group na Hamas matapos ang surprisang pag-atake nito sa Israel.
