NAGBABALA ang Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) nitong Sabado laban sa presensiya ng mga pekeng PDEA inspector na gumagamit ng pangalan ng ahensiya, upang mangikil sa mga establisimyento sa ilalim ng kunwaring pagpapatupad ng programang ‘drug-free workplace’ ng pamahalaan.

Sa isang abiso, sinabi ng PDEA: “The public is hereby warned against the circulation of unauthorized or fake PDEA Inspection Notices being sent to various business establishments purporting to check compliance with the Drug-Free Workplace Program.”

“These notices have been used to demand money in exchange for avoiding inspection or penalties. Please be reminded that, pursuant to Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) Regulation No. 8, Series of 2003, and Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department Order No. 53-03, Series of 2003, the responsibility for monitoring Drug-Free Workplace compliance rests with the DOLE, not PDEA,” saad pa ng PDEA advisory.

Dahil dito, nanawagan ang ahensiya na pinamumunuan ni Director General, Undersecretary Isagani R. Nerez, sa publiko at mga katuwang na institusyon na maging mapagmatyag at agad i-report ang anumang ganitong insidente sa Isumbong Mo Sa PDEA hotline numbers: 0995-3457020 at 0931-10278212.
