PARA kay Camiguin Rep. Jurdin Jesus Romualdo mas dapat na pagtuunan ng pansin ni Vice President Sara Duterte ang proper decorum at tradisyon sa halip na ang panonood ng Netflix ang atupagin at gamitin itong pagbibiro sa isang seryosong bagay.

Ginawa ni Romualdo ang pahayag kasunod ng pahayag ni VP Sara na hindi ito dadalo sa ikatlong State of the Nation Address (SONA) ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. sa Hulyo 22 na gaganapin sa Batasan Pambansa Complex, sa Quezon City.

Ayon kay Duterte kanyang itinatalaga ang sarili bilang “designated survivor,” na halaw sa isang Netflix thriller series.

“Vice President Sara Duterte should be more cautious with what she says. After all, she is still a public official, and Netflix is not a good basis for her actions or inactions,” sabi ng kongresista.

Sa naturang palabas, namatay ang pinakamatataas na opisyal ng Estados Unidos at ang natira para mamuno ay ang designated survivor.

“Does she have a premonition of the things to come? She should refrain from watching too much Netflix. Her joke could have been better handled given that all high-ranking officials of the land would be there,” wika pa ng solon.

“In the decades worth of SONAs that we’ve had, nobody has ever flaunted being the ‘designated survivor’ and used it as the excuse to skip the important event. Proper decorum and tradition say that the Vice President should be there in plenary at Batasan to hear the good President’s report to the nation,” saad pa nito.

“This is among the political instances that take a backseat to transparency and unbridled communication with the public. Vice President Duterte’s predecessors did this with no issue while in office. One would think that she would also strive to achieve that standard,” dagdag pa ni Romualdo.

Ilalahad ni Pangulong Marcos ang kaniyang SONA sa joint session ng Kongreso. Inaasahan na sasaksihan ito ng mga opisyal ng pamahalaan at mga foreign dignitaries.

Una ng sinabi ni Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez na mahalagang tagpo ang SONA para sa pagkakaisa at kolaborasyon ng lahat ng pinuno ng bansa.

Bagay na sasayangin ng bise presidente sa desisyon nito na hindi dumalo.
