SA pamamagitan ng viva voce voting, pinagtibay ng Kamara de Representantes ang isang resolusyon para sa pagtatayo ng eCongress, isang digital legislative management system para s Senado at Kamara.

Ang pinagtibay na House Concurrent Resolution (HCR) No. 10 ay akda nina Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez, Majority Leader Manuel Jose “Mannix” M. Dalipe, Senior Deputy Majority Leader at Ilocos Norte Rep. Ferdinand Alexander A. Marcos, Minority Leader Marcelino Libanan, at Representatives Yedda Marie K. Romualdez at Jude Acidre ng Tingog party-list.

“The Senate and the House of Representatives are cognizant of the need to continuously improve, strengthen and streamline communications between houses to enable them, singly and jointly, to efficiently and effectively perform Congress’ essential functions of representation, legislation and oversight,” sabi ng mga may-akda sa resolusyon.

Ang makabagong teknolohiya umano ay nagbigay ng oportunidad upang ma-update ng dalawang kapulungan ng Kongreso ang intra- at inter-chamber processes para maging digital ang sistema nito.

“To enhance digital collaboration, communication and connectivity between both houses, and to improve their services to the people, the Senate and the House of Representatives agree and commit to undertake concerted efforts in the development of an updated digital, integrated and secure legislative management system,” sabi pa sa resolusyon.

Ang pondo na kakailangan sa pagtatayo ng eCongress ay kukunin sa kasalukuyang budget ng Senado at Kamara.

Ang mga kakailanganing budget sa hinaharap ay isasama na sa taunang badyet ng gobyerno.

Ang Senate secretary at House secretary general ang inatasan na magtulungan para sa pagtatayo ng eCongress.
