IKINAGALAK ni Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD) President at House Majority Leader Martin G. Romualdez ang naging desisyon ng Nacionalista Party (NP) sa pangunguna ni dating Senate President Manny Villar na suportahan ang kandidatura nina dating Senador at Presidential Candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. at Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte.

Binigyang diin ni Romualdez, Leyte 1st Dist. Representative, na ang endorsement ni Villar para sa tandem nina Marcos at Duterte ay maituturing na bilang isang tagumpay dahil ilang hakbang na lamang ay makakamit na nila ang inaasam nilang posisyon matapos ang halalan sa Mayo 9.

“The Lakas-CMD welcomes and great values the endorsement of the Nacionalista Party led by former Senate President Manny Villar of the Marcos-Duterte tandem. The support of one of the country’s biggest and oldest political parties will certainly make a difference as we work hard to consolidate forces and support the UniTeam tandem in this crucial period of the campaign,” sabi ni Romualdez.

Sa pamamagitan ng isang statement na nilagdaan ni Villar bilang Presidente at Chairman ng national directorate ng NP, sinasabi dito ang buong-buo at solidong ng suporta ng NP para sa kandidatura nina Marcos at Duterte para sa pagka-Pangulo at ikalawang Pangulo ng bansa.

“We believe that Bongbong and Inday Sara’s message of unity is crucial in binding our country together and inspiring our people as we rebuild not only from the pandemic but also from political chasm that divide us. They both have platforms of government, qualifications and track record to lead our country towards unity and prosperity,” dagdag pa ni Romualdez.
