PUSPUSAN umano ang gagawing pagtatrabaho ng Kamara de Representantes upang maging maayos ang hinaharap ng mga Pilipino.

Ito ang mensahe ni Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez sa mga lumahok sa 33rd biennial convention ng Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry na ginanap sa Manila Hotel.

Sinabi ni Romualdez na ang kauna-unahang panukala na inihain sa Kamara ngayong 19th Congress ay ang Government Financial Unified Initiatives to Distressed Enterprises for Economic Recovery (GUIDE) bill na naglalayong tulungan ang mga negosyante na naapektuhan ng COVID-19 pandemic.

Ang GUIDE bill ay naaprubahan na ng Kamara sa ikatlo at huling pagbasa at naipadala na ito sa Senado para sa kanilang konsiderasyon. Si Speaker Romualdez ang pangunahing may-akda nito.

Ayon kay Romualdez natapos na rin ng Kamara ang House Bill No. 7363, o ang panukalang “Pondo sa Pagbabago at Pag-asenso Act” na magbibigay ng pautang sa mga maliliit na negosyo ng walang kolateral.

Ang panukalang pagtatayo ng Maharlika Investment Fund (MIF) ay natapos na rin umano ng Mababang Kapulungan. Layunin nito na mapondohan ang mga malalaking proyekto ng gobyerno na makatutulong sa pag-unlad ng bansa at makakapagpabuti sa kalagayan ng mga Pilipino.

Itinutulak din umano sa Kamara ang pag-digitalize ng mga proseso sa gobyerno upang maging mabilis ang pakikipagtransaksyon dito ng publiko.

“We are currently pushing for the amendment of key economic provisions of the Constitution, which we view as restrictive, to make it easier for more businesses to set up shop in the country,” sabi ni Speaker Romualdez.

“These are just some of the initiatives we are undertaking at the House of Representatives. Make no mistake about it: we are committed to bringing about a brighter future for Filipinos, and provide real, pragmatic solutions to many of the development problems that we face,” dagdag pa ni Speaker Romualdez.

Muli ring iginiit ni Speaker Romualdez ang pangangailangan na magkaisa upang mabilis na maabot ang adhikain ng gobyerno.

“Indeed, through unity, we can achieve development and prosperity that much faster. This is the same principle that we applied at the House of Representatives to facilitate the passage of landmark measures to hasten economic recovery. Be assured that your representatives know and understand the important role businesses play in sustaining national development,” ani Speaker Romualdez.
