Upang hindi na maulit pag-atake sa mga manlalayag na Pinoy 

NAGPAHAYAG ng pakikiramay si Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez sa pagkamatay ng dalawang Pilipino sa naging pag-atake ng Houthi sa M/V True Confidence sa Gulf of Aden.

Ang ballistic missile attack ng Houthi na sinusuportahan ng Iran ay nagresulta sa pagkamatay ng tatlong miyembro ng crew, na kinabibilangan ng dalawang Pilipino at ikinasugat din ng dalawa pang Pilipinong crew ng barko.

“Our hearts go out to the families and loved ones of the Filipino seafarers who lost their lives in this senseless and tragic attack. Their dedication and sacrifices while serving aboard the M/V True Confidence will always be remembered and honored,” ani Speaker Romualdez.

Tiniyak naman ng lider ng Kamara, na mayroong mahigit 300 miyembro na tutulungan ng administrasyon ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang pamilya ng mga nasawi at nasugatang mga Pilipino sa naturang insidente.

“We stand in solidarity with President Marcos, the Department of Migrant Workers and the Filipino seafarers affected by this heartbreaking incident. It is imperative that we extend all possible assistance to the families of the victims and ensure that the injured receive the necessary medical care and support,” sabi ni Speaker Romualdez.

Nanawagan din ang lider ng Kamara ng masusing imbestigasyon sa pag-atake at hinamon ang international community na kondenahin ang pag-atake sa mg sibilyan at sasakyang pangdagat.

“We call for a comprehensive investigation into this heinous attack and urge the international community to condemn these cowardly acts of violence,” saad pa ni Speaker Romualdez.

“The safety and security of Filipino seafarers must remain a top priority, and we must work together to prevent such tragedies from occurring in the future,” dagdag pa nito.

Muli namang iginiit ni Speaker Romualdez ang pangako ng administrasyong Marcos na poproteksyunan ang kapakanan at karapatan ng mga Pilipino na nagtatrabaho sa ibang bansa.

“We assure the families of the victims and the Filipino people that the government will spare no effort in ensuring that justice is served and that measures are in place to safeguard the well-being of our overseas Filipino workers,” dagdag pa ni Speaker Romualdez.
