NANAWAGAN si Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez ng pagkakaisa sa mga ahensya ng gobyerno upang malimitahan ang epekto sa publiko ng mataas na presyo ng mga bilihin.

Iginiit ni Romualdez na kailangang magsama-sama ang iba’t ibang ahensya upang maipatupad ng maayos at mabilis ang mga programa para matulungan ang mga lubhang apektado ng mataas na presyo.

“Now, more than ever, is the time for unity and teamwork. Let’s roll up our sleeves, work double-time, and deliver real results for our kababayans,” ani Speaker Romualdez, lider ng Kamara na may 310 miyembro.

Sa pagsisimula ng anihan, sinabi ni Romualdez na inaasahan ang unti-unting pagbaba ng presyo ng pagkain.

“But this isn’t just about waiting for harvests. This is about all of us in government coming together to ensure our people feel relief faster,” saad pa ni Romualdez.

Ayon kay Speaker Romualdez naging proactive ang gobyerno sa paglulungsad ng mga inisyatiba upang mabawasan ang epekto ng pagtaas ng presyo ng mga bilihin.

Nariyan umano ang digital food stamp program kung saan ang mga kuwalipikadong pamilya ay binibigyan ng P3,000 food allowance gayundin ang fuel subsidy program para sa mga drayber at operator ng pampasaherong sasakyan.

“Farmers, the heroes behind our country’s food supply, haven’t been overlooked. Financial assistance is flowing to rice farmers, with an additional incentive; the government is committing to purchase their rice yields at improved rates, safeguarding their livelihoods and ensuring they receive just compensation for their hard work,” sabi pa ng lider ng Kamara.

Inalis na rin umano ni Pangulong Marcos ang paniningil ng pass-through fee sa mga delivery trak na dumaraan sa mga national road.

“By cutting down these additional costs, we can anticipate a potential reduction in market prices, benefitting the everyday Filipino consumer,” paliwanag ni Speaker Romualdez.

“Our collective action, from local government units to national agencies, must reflect a single, unified goal,” saad pa nito. “Only through synchronized efforts can we truly serve our people and fulfill our mandate.”

Nanawagan si Speaker Romualdez sa mga kapwa civil servant ito, sa nasyunal man o lokal na lebel, na ipagpatuloy ang pagbibigay ng hindi matatawarang serbisyo.
