IPINALABAS ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang Proclamation No. 297 upang bawiin na ang idineklarang State of Public Health Emergency kaugnay ng COVID-19 pandemic.

“All prior orders, memoranda, and issuances that are effective only during the State of Public Health Emergency shall be deemed withdrawn, revoked or canceled and shall no longer be in effect,” sabi sa proklamasyon.

“All EUA (emergency use authorization) issued by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) pursuant to Executive Order (EO) No. 121 (s. 2020) shall remain valid for a period of one year from the date of lifting of the State of Public of Public Health Emergency for the sole purposes of exhausting the remaining vaccines,” sabi pa nito.

Pinaalalahanan sa proklamasyon ang mga ahensya ng gobyerno na tiyakin na nakasusunod ang kanilang mga polisiyang ipinatutupad.

Noong Marso 2022, ipinalabas ng noon ay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang Proclamation No. 922 na nagdedeklara ng State of Public Health Emergency sa buong bansa kaugnay ng COVID-19 pandemic.

Sinundan ito ng Executive Order No. 121 (s. 2020) na nagbibigay ng kapangyarihan sa FDA na magpalabas ng mga EUA para sa mga bakuna laban sa COVID-19.
