ANG malaking pagtaas ng trust rating nina Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. at ng Kamara de Representantes, sa ilalim ni Leyte Rep. Ferdinand Martin Romualdez, ay isa umanong patunay ng epektibong pamumuno, ayon kay La Union Rep. Francisco Paolo Ortega V nitong Martes.

“This significant increase in the level of trust in President Marcos Jr. and in the House of the People reflects growing popular support for the strong leadership of the President and Speaker Romualdez,” ani Ortega, isang Senior Deputy Majority Leader ng ika-19 na Kongreso.

Sinabi rin niya na ito ay isang kumpirmasyon ng tiwala ng publiko sa kahanga-hangang performance ng administrasyon ni Marcos at ng Kamara sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Romualdez.

Ibinigay ni Ortega ang pahayag bilang tugon sa pinakahuling survey ng Social Weather Stations (SWS) na nagpapakitang tumaas ang trust rating ni Pangulong Marcos Jr. ng 12 percentage points—mula 36 porsiyento noong Abril, naging 38 porsiyento noong Mayo, at umabot sa 48 porsiyento nitong Hunyo.

Ayon sa parehong survey, umakyat din ang trust rating ng Kamara ng 23 percentage points sa huling tatlong buwan ng ika-19 na Kongreso—mula 34 porsiyento noong Abril, naging 49 porsiyento noong Mayo, at umabot sa 57 porsiyento noong Hunyo.

Nagtapos ang termino ng nakaraang Kongreso noong Hunyo 30.

Ipinakita rin sa SWS poll ang kahalintulad na pagtaas sa trust rating ni Romualdez sa parehong panahon—mula 23 porsiyento noong Abril, naging 26 porsiyento noong Mayo, at naging 34 porsiyento noong Hunyo.

“We are happy for our President, our leader in the House and for all of us, members of the House, because the increases in the trust levels of our President, our Speaker and the House of the People also mean that the public appreciates what we have been trying to do for them, which, in general, is to improve, through legislative and constituency measures, their quality of life,” ani Ortega.

“We are specially glad for Speaker Romualdez, since this remarkable ratings improvement augurs well for his continued leadership of the House in the incoming 20th Congress, which is convening in 12 days,” dagdag pa nila.

Ayon sa mga ulat, tiyak na umano ang boto ng supermayorya ng mga miyembro ng Kamara kay Romualdez sa pagbubukas ng sesyon ng Kongreso sa Hulyo 28, kung kailan ihahalal ang Speaker ng mas malaking kapulungan.
