Investment plan ng Mitsubishi sa PH aabot ng P7B
AABOT sa P7 bilyong halaga ng investment plan ang ilalagak ng Mitsubishi Motors Corporation saa Pilipinas sa susunod na limang taon.
Ayon kay Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. isang welcome development ito para sa bansa lalot makalilikha ito ng trabaho sa mga Filipino.
Inihayag ng Mitsubishi ang naturang plano nang mag-courtesy call kay Pangulong Marcos si MMC president at chief executive officer Takao Kato.
Kabilang sa plano ang pagkakaroon ng bagong production model ng Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp. (MMPC) plant facility sa Laguna.
“The jobs that it will provide, that your investment will provide, are very important to us and certainly, vehicle manufacture is one of those,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.
Ayon kay Pangulong Marcos, isasama na ang MMC sa Revitalizing the Automotive Industry for Competitiveness Enhancement (RACE) Program na isang bagong panukalang version ng Comprehensive Automotive Resurgence Strategy (CARS) Program ng pamahalaan.
Sinabi naman ni Kato na ang Pilipinas ang isa sa mga mahalagang investment ng Mitsubishi sa Southeast Asia dahil sa maganda at matatag na ekonomiya.
“In the ASEAN, (the) Philippines is our number one market,” sabi ni Kato kay Pangulong Marcos.
Ang MMPC ay mayroong manufacturing plant sa Santa Rosa, Laguna, na mayroong 50,000 units ng annual production capacity. May potensyal ito na makagawa ng 100,000 units kada taon.
