LAMPAS P16 million na halaga ng fully-grown marijuana at seedlings sa Sugpon, ilocos Sur ang winasak at sinunog ng mga miyembro ng Ilocos Sur Police Provincial Office (ISPPO) sa 5 araw na walang humpay na anti-drug operations, ayon sa report.

Ayon kay ISPPO director Colonel Agosto M. Asuncion, kasama nila sa operasyon ang mga miyembro ng Provincial Mobile Force Companies, Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit at Sugpon police sa pagwasak sa marijuana plantation.

“This is part of our continuing campaign to eradicate the presence of illegal drugs including marijuana in the province in partnership with other law enforcement agencies,” sabi ng opisyal.

Sinabi ni Col. Asuncion na pinamunuan ni ISPPO deputy director for operations, Lieutenant Col. David Dulnuan ang pagwasak sa targeted 19 cannabis plantation sa Brgy. Licungan.

Umabot sa 81,000 piraso ng fully-grown marijuana plants at mahigit 2,000 seedlings ang nawasak nila.

Binuhusan daw ng gasolina ang mga nawasak na droga, ayon sa report.
