Mga kongresista nakidalamhati sa pagpanaw ng singer na si Danny Javier
NAKIDALAMHATI ang mga kongresista sa pagpanaw ni Daniel “Danny” Javier, isa sa mga miyembro ng APO Hiking Society.
“Resolved by the House of Representatives, to express its profound condolences to the family of Mr. Daniel ‘Danny’ Morales Javier, lead vocalist of the APO Hiking Society, a Filipino musical group and one of the pillars of Original Pilipino music (OPM),” sabi sa House Resolution (HR) 530 na pinagtibay ng Mababang Kapulungan sa sesyon nito.
Ang pinagtibay na HR 530 ay akda nina Speaker Martin G. Romualdez, Majority Leader Manuel Jose “Mannix” M. Dalipe, Minority Leader Marcelino C. Libanan, Senior Deputy Majority Leader Ferdinand Alexander A. Marcos, at TINGOG Party-list Reps. Yedda Marie K. Romualdez at Jude A. Acidre.
“Tributes poured in for this legendary music icon who never stopped fighting for what he loved, what he believed in, and what he was passionate about,” sabi ng mga mambabatas sa resolusyon. “
… For his distinguished contribution to Philippine pop music, and for all his songs and compositions, Danny Javier will always be remembered with utmost respect and admiration, and his kind of music will leave a smile on the faces of many Filipinos.”
Si Javier ay ipinanganak noon Agosto 6, 1947 sa Abuyog, Leyte. Siya ay nag-aral sa San Beda College at Ateneo de Manila University at naging miyembro ng APO Hiking Society kasama sina Boboy Garovillo at Jim Paredes.
“Formed in 1969, the group was originally called the Apolinario Mabini Hiking Society before becoming popularly known as APO Hiking Society, or simply APO, and became one of the pillars of ‘Original Pilipino Music’ or OPM,” sabi sa resolusyon.
Si Javier na pumanaw noong Oktobre 31 sa edad na 75.
“… The APO Hiking Society became involved in record production, talent management under the ‘Organisasyon ng Pilipinong Mang-aawit’ and expanded its activities into establishing the careers of new music artists …,“ sabi pa rito.
Bibigyan ng kopya ng resolusyon ang pamilya ni Javier.
