BALIK-’PINAS ang British-Pinay singer-actress na si Geraldine Jennings para tapusin ang mga natitirang eksena sa kanyang film debut na La Isla Babuyan na dinirek ni Abdel Langit.
Kasabay nito, pumirma rin siya ng recording contract sa Star Music na siyang magdi-distribute ng kantang isinulat ni Ogie Alcasid para sa kanya, ang If I Will Ever Love Again na ginamit din sa La Isla Babuyan.

Kwento ni Geraldine sa pocket interview kamakailan, “I also have two upcoming songs, Pwede Ba? and Don’t Go, written by Viktoria (Agbayani). She gave me the song, Don’t Go and I will add a remix to make it upbeat for my generation. Viktoria is also under LVD (Management) of (the late) Leo Dominguez. I miss Leo so much. I also have an original song that’s upcoming.”

Sa La Isla Babuyan, ginagampanan ni Geraldine ang papel ni Anastasia, isang 18-year-old na laking Europe sa Pinay na ina. Magkakahiwalay sila kaya uuwi si Anastasia para muli silang magkasama.

Kapareha ni Geraldine sa pelikula si Jameson Blake na ayon sa kanya ay “very professional.”

“I am an actor, he is an actor and he was super helpful with me. He was very comfortable to work with. That’s part of the job. He was a very good actor and a very nice person. I was really surprised how willing he was to help. He was very mabait and very easy to talk to. I was very comfortable working with him,” tsika niya tungkol kay Jameson.

“We are now in the post production. I did the dubbing and we are still waiting for one other member of the cast to finish her dubbing also. We will finalize the edits and in September, we are set to release the film. I’m excited to see the film on the big screen. I’m a bit nervous, but really more excited,” patuloy ni Geraldine na dalawang taon pa mag-aaral ng kursong Economics and Finance sa University of London.

Maliban kay Jameson, kasama rin sa cast ng La Isla Babuyan sina Lotlot de Leon (bilang nanay ni Geraldine) at Dave Bornea.

“In two years’ time, once I’m done with my studies, I will return to the Philippines for good. I’m just finishing my studies now. Singing and acting are my passions. I love doing them. I don’t mind pursuing them for good,” pangako ni Geraldine.

Sina Kathryn Bernardo, Alden Richards, Lovi Poe at Anthony Jennings ay ilan lamang sa mga artistang bet niyang makatrabaho.
