INILAGAY na ni National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) director Major General Anthony Aberin ang buong Metro Manila sa full police alert bilang proteksyon sa publiko ngayong Mahal na Araw.

Pinaalalahanan ng heneral ang publiko na walang pinipiling araw ang mga kriminal kaya dapat listo sila sa lahat ng oras.

Dapat mas listo ang sinuman sa mga crowded terminals, busy commercial areas at lugar sambahan, ayon sa NCRPO chief.

Dapat listo din ang sinuman kapag naka-online sa anumang transaksyon o kung lilisanin ang kanilang mga bahay.

Umaabot sa 13,000 pulis ang ipinakalat sa mga abalang lugar sa Metro Manila para maiwasan ang nakawan, holdap, snatching, online fraud at iba pang krimen, ayon sa heneral.

Mayroon ding patrol operations, area monitoring at mas matinding police visibility sa ilang lugar sa Metro Manila.

“Through this whole-of-community approach, the NCRPO aims to deter opportunistic crimes, reduce vulnerabilities, and strengthen public safety during the vacation season,” paliwanag ng NCRPO chief.

Pinaalalahan din ni Aberin ang publiko na huwag mag-post ng travel plans/itineraries sa mga socmed accounts para hindi masundan ng mga kriminal.

“As more people leave their homes and travel during the vacation season, the risk of opportunistic crimes also increases—on the streets, in unattended residences, and even online.

That is why the NCRPO is strengthening police presence, intensifying monitoring, and tightening coordination with LGUs, barangay officials, and community partners to deter crime and keep the public safe.

We also urge everyone to remain alert, secure their homes, stay vigilant against scams and suspicious activity, and immediately coordinate with the nearest police station or local authorities for any concern requiring police assistance,” dagdag ng hepe ng NCRPO.
