PINAGTIBAY ng Kamara de Representantes ang isang resolusyon na kumikilala sa mga tumanggap ng 2023 Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipino awards dahil sa kanilang natatanging kontribusyon sa serbisyo publiko.

Ang House Resolution (HR) No. 1312 ay inakda nina Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez, Senior Deputy Speaker Aurelio “Dong” D. Gonzales Jr., Majority Leader Manuel Jose “Mannix” M. Dalipe, Minority Leader Marcelino C. Libanan, Senior Deputy Majority Leader Ferdinand Alexander A. Marcos, at Tingog Partylist Reps. Yedda Marie K. Romualdez at Jude A. Acidre.

Ang Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipinos ay nangunguna at pinaka prestihiyosong career-service award na ibinibigay sa mga natatanging indidbiwal sa sektor ng academe, militar at pulisya.

Isinasaalang-alang sa pagbibigay ng award ang buong career ng isang indibidwal kasama ang kanyang mga nagawa sa labas ng kanyang opisyal na tungkulin.

Itinatampok ng Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipinos program ang mga tagumpay na nakamit ng 10 natatanging Pilipino—apat educator, at tig-tatlong sundalo at pulis.

Ang Foundation ay nakikipag-ugnayan sa Department of Education at Commission on Higher Education para sa Teacher Excellence; sa Armed Forces of the Philippines at Rotary Club of Makati Metro para sa Soldier Excellence; at sa Philippine National Police, Philippine Savings Bank, at Rotary Club of New Manila East para sa Police Officer Excellence.

Ang mga tumanggap ng 2023 Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipino Award for Teachers ay sina Rex M. Sario, Master Teacher I/Teacher-in-charge ng Balogo Elementary School (Pangantucan, Bukidnon); June Elias V. Patalinghug, EdD, Master Teacher II ng Catalunan Grade Elementary School (Davao City); Edgar R. Durana, MAEd, Master Teacher I / SPED Coordinator ng Don Jose M. Ynares Sr. Memorial National High School (Binangonan, Rizal); at Jovelyn G Delosa, Ph.D., Associate Professor/Vice President for Academic Affairs ng Northern Bukidnon State College (Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon).

Ang mga tumanggap naman ng award sa sektor ng militar ay sina Staff Sergeant Danilo S. Banquiao, Civil-Military Officer-Non-Commission Officer ng 103rd Brigade, 1st Infantry Division ng Philippine Army (Marawi City, Lanao del Sur); Lieutenant Colonel Joseph J. Bitancur, Assistant Commandant ng Basic Military School, Air Education, Training and Doctrine Command-Philippine Air Force (Lipa City, Batangas); at Colonel Joseph Jeremias Cirilo C. Dator, Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations ng Presidential Security Group at dating Commanding Officer ng 10th Military Intelligence Battalion, 10th Infantry Division (Mawab, Davao de Oro).

Ang mga tumanggap naman mula sa hanay ng kapulisan ay sina Chief Master Sergeant Dennis D. Bendo, Section Team Leader ng District Mobile Force Battalion ng Manila Police District; Major Mae Ann R. Cunanan, Chief of Police Community Relations Criminal Investigation and Detection Group at dating hepe ng Case Monitoring Section, Regional Investigation and Detection Management Division, PRO 9 sa Zamboanga City; at Colonel Renell R. Sabaldica, hepe ng Morale and Welfare Division ng Directorate for Personnel and Records Management sa Camp Crame, Quezon City, at dating Provincial Director ng Cagayan Police Provincial Office sa Tuguegarao City.

“Whereas, for exemplifying commitment, selflessness and dedication in the pursuit of public service, the House of Representatives proudly joins the Metrobank Foundation Inc. in honoring and commending these 10 exceptional individuals who exemplify public service as a worthy endeavor,” ayon sa resolusyon na pinagtibay noong Miyerkoles kung saan isinama ang HR No. 1298.

“Now, therefore, be it resolved by the House of Representatives to congratulate and commend the 2023 Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipino Awardees for their dedication and steadfast commitment in providing exceptional public service,” sabi pa sa resolusyon.

Ang mga nakatanggap ng award ngayong taon ay isasama sa 695 outstanding public servants na nauna ng kinilala ng Metrobank Foundation, ang corporate social responsibility arm ng Metrobank Group, mula noong 1985.
