NAGPAHAYAG ng suporta sa Kamara de Representantes ang mga kongresista mula sa Mindanao sa gitna ng mga walang basehang batikos mula sa mga hindi masaya sa ginawa nitong paglilipat ng confidential funds sa ilalim ng panukalang budget para sa susunod na taon.

Sa magkakahiwalay na Facebook post, nagpahayag din ng pagsuporta sina Reps. Ace Barbers (Surigao del Norte), Cheeno Miguel D. Almario (Davao Oriental), Maricar Zamora (Davao de Oro) at Francisco Jose “Bingo” Matugas (Surigao del Norte) kay Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez.

Ipinahayag ng mga kongresista ang kanilang suporta sa Kamara na maganda umano ang ipinakikita, bilang reaksyon sa pag-atake ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

Tinuligsa ni Duterte ang Kamara matapos nitong alisin ang confidential funds ng Office of the Vice President at Department of Education na kapwa pinamumunuan ng kanyang anak na si Vice President Sara Duterte.

Ang inalis na pondo ay inilipat ng Kamara sa mga ahensya na nagbibigay ng seguridad sa bansa partikular sa West Philippine Sea.

“As one of the senior members of the House, I stand by the institution’s integrity and strict adherence to the law,” sabi ni Barbers.

“I join hands with my colleagues in support of the leadership of Speaker Martin Romualdez and the priority legislations of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, aimed towards advancing the interests of the people, uplifting their lives through measures that improve the economy, safeguarding our territory and ensuring our safety in the face of threats against our nation’s peace and independence,” saad pa ni Barbers.

Pinasinungalingan din ni Barbers ang pahayag ni Duterte na mayroong pork barrel ang Kamara na dapat silipin ng Commission on Audit (COA).

“To the best of my knowledge, no Confidential and Intelligence Fund was ever appropriated to the House of Representatives, as validated by the COA audit reports,” sabi pa ni Barbers. “Likewise, since the Supreme Court’s declaration of the invalidity and illegality of the so-called ‘pork barrel’ funds, the House abided and all representatives have accepted the ruling.”

Sinabi ni Barbers na buo ang suportado nito ang Kamara at magpapatuloy umano itong magtatrabaho upang mapanatili ang kapayapaan at mapaunlad ang mga Pilipino.

Ipinahayag din in Almario of Davao Oriental ang kanyang pagsuporta kay Speaker Romualdez.

“As a proud Neophyte member of the House of Representatives, I wish to express my unwavering support for our esteemed Speaker Martin Romualdez, and the leadership of the House,” sabi ni Almario.

“Under Speaker Romualdez’s guidance, the House has consistently demonstrated its commitment to good governance, transparency and the welfare of the Filipino people. Being a part of this great institution gives me great pride and joy,” dagdag pa nito.

Sinabi ni Almario na bagamat iginagalang nito ang opinyon ni dating Pangulong Duterte, iba umano ang nakalagay sa report ng COA.

“On the recent statement of the former President, we respect his opinion as we do others, as well. Let the axe fall where it may. The latest Commission on Audit report will show how the House funds were dispensed responsibly,” sabi ni Almario.

“The House of Representatives has always been at the forefront of championing the needs and aspirations of our countrymen. Our records, which are open to public scrutiny, are a testament to our dedication to fiscal responsibility and transparency,” saad pa ni Almario.

Sinabi ni Almario na naipakita ni Speaker Romualdez ang dedikasyon nito para sa kapakanan ng mga Pilipino.

“His leadership has been instrumental in passing crucial legislation that has positively impacted the lives of millions. It is under his guidance that the House has remained steadfast in its commitment to uphold the rule of law and ensure that every peso of the people’s money is accounted for and spent wisely,” wika pa ni Almario.

“We, as elected representatives, have always put the interests of the Filipino people above all else. We remain committed to our duty and will continue to work tirelessly to ensure a brighter and more prosperous future for all,” saad pa nito.

Nagpahayag din ng suporta si Zamora sa Kamara at kay Speaker Romualdez.

“I stand with the House of Representatives. Sa lahat ng mga isyu na ipinupukol ngayon sa House of Representatives, nais ko lamang ipaabot ang aking buong suporta at patuloy na pagtitiwala sa aking mga kasamahan sa Kongreso, sa pamumuno ni Speaker Martin Romualdez, at sa lahat ng mga empleyado na patuloy na nagtatrabaho, may session man o wala, para maipaabot ang iba’t-ibang serbisyo ng gobyerno sa bawat Pilipino,” ani Zamora na siyang sponsor ng panukalang budget ng OVP at DepEd para sa 2024.

“Hindi man tayo perpekto bilang institusyon, ngunit batid ko ang dedikasyon ng 19th Congress na: 1) mapabilis ang pagpasa ng mga prayoridad na batas, at 2) mapadali ang proseso ng paglapit ng mga serbisyo ng gobyerno upang mas maraming Pilipino ang makinabang,” dagdag pa nito.

Sinabi ni Zamora na naging masigasig ang Kamara sa pagbabantay at pagtiyak na naipatutupad ng gobyerno ang mga proyekto na kailangan ng mamamayang Pilipino.

“Sa ilang taon akong nanilbihan sa Kongreso, naramdaman ko ang pagiging mas-accessible ng Kongreso para sa mga ordinaryong mamamayan. Mas makatarungan ang pamimigay ng mga alokasyong nararapat sa bawat distrito,” ani Zamora.

“Ngayon mas napahalagahan ang Congressman na masipag sa kanyang trabaho sa Kongreso at distrito, at makakasungkit ng pondo para sa kanyang mga nasasakupan,” dagdag pa nito.

Taus-puso naman umano ang pagsuporta ni Matugas kay Speaker Romualdez.

“Our legislative body has consistently demonstrated a commitment to transparency and accountability. I am proud to share that the House accounts have remained transparent, and we have received no disallowance from the Commission on Audit,” sabi ni Matugas.

“This achievement reflects the dedication of our members and Speaker Romualdez’s effective leadership in upholding the highest standards of governance. Kayo po ay makakaasa na ang House of the People ay patuloy na magsisilbing para sa kapakanan ng mamamayang Pilipino at ng buong bansa!” dagdag pa ni Matugas.
