HUMAHARAP sa matinding hamon ang mga E-Games at E-Bingo operator sa bansa dahil sa pagpapatupad ng mga bagong patakaran at proseso na, bagama’t mas pinahigpit, ay kinakailangan para masiguro ang mas ligtas at responsableng gaming industry, ayon kay Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) Chairman at CEO Alejandro H. Tengco.

Sa kanyang talumpati sa pagtitipon ng Association of Independent Licensed Gaming and Amusement Operators, Inc. (AILGAO) sa Muntinlupa City nitong Miyerkoles, Nobyembre 26, inamin ni G. Tengco na nagdulot ng matinding pag-aadjust sa E-Games sector ang mga bagong reporma.

Partikular niyang binanggit ang mandatory de-linking ng e-wallets sa online gaming platforms, na layong patibayin ang tiwala sa mga lehitimong operator at protektahan ang mga kabataan at iba pang manlalaro.

Bagama’t lumago pa rin ng 17.4% ang E-Games at E-Bingo segment sa Q3 kumpara noong isang taon, sinabi ng PAGCOR chief na nagdulot ng pansamantalang pagbaba ng GGR ang de-linking policy noong Agosto at Setyembre.

“We know that many of you were affected by this sudden development,” aniya. “However, we must not look at these reforms as obstacles but as measures designed to protect your players, your businesses, and the entire ecosystem you operate in.”

Nagbabala rin si G. Tengco na habang nagsusumikap mag-adjust ang mga lehitimong licensee, patuloy pa ring dumarami ang mga iligal na operator na hindi nagbabayad ng buwis at lumalabag sa mga patakaran para sa proteksyon ng manlalaro.

“They expose players to financial fraud and data theft,” aniya pa. “But the worst part is, they damage the reputation of the entire industry, including the legitimate ones.”

Pinuri naman niya ang mga lehitimong operator dahil handa ang mga ito na sumunod sa mas mahihigpit na alituntunin.

“Tonight, we recognize all of you for being the backbone of the legitimate online gaming sector: innovating and adapting quickly, and staying compliant even when the rules become stricter,” sabi ni G. Tengco. “You understand that integrity is the foundation of sustainability.”

Iginawad kay G. Tengco ng AILGAO ang “Gaming Exemplary Leadership Award” bilang pagkilala sa kanyang suporta sa licensed operators at sa pagtataguyod ng mas ligtas at mas transparent na gaming standards sa bansa.

Nagpasalamat naman si AILGAO President Rafael Tabora sa PAGCOR at sinabing mananatili ang kanilang suporta sa mga reporma ng ahensya.

“We welcome these reforms because they strengthen the legitimacy of our operations and create a safer environment for our players,” aniya.
