BINAWI na ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang state of national emergency na idineklara sa Mindanao bunsod ng lawlessness violence noong 2016.

Ipinalabas ni Pangulong Marcos ang Proclamation No. 298 dahil mas payapa na umano sa Mindanao ngayon.

“Through successful focused military and law enforcement operations and programs that promote sustainable and inclusive peace, the government has made significant gains in improving and restoring peace and order in the region,” sabi sa proklamasyon.

“The lifting of Proclamation No. 55 (s. 2016) will boost economic activity and hasten the recovery of the local economy,” dagdag pa nito.

Inilabas ang Proclamation No. 55 na nagdedeklara ng state of national emergency noong Setyembre 4, 2016. NI ZAIDA DELOS REYES
