LABIS na ikinalungkot ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang pagpanaw ni “Queen of Philippine Cinema” Gloria Romero o Gloria Anne Borrego Galla sa tunay na buhay.

Ayon kay Pangulong Marcos, isa siya sa mga tagahanga ni Romero.

“I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of one of Philippine cinema’s great icons,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos sa Instagram post.

“I first met Gloria Romero on the set while filming Iginuhit ng Tadhana, and have been an admirer of her work as an actress ever since. She was always a great lady with the dignity of a true star,” dagdag ng Pangulo.

Pumanaw si Romero sa edad na 91.

“Not just a brilliant artist but a very fine person, the world of Filipino cinema and all of entertainment will never forget her,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.

Matatandaan na gumanap si Romero bilang Imelda Marcos sa biographical film na “Iginuhit ng Tadhana” at nagkaroon ng cameo role si Pangulong Marcos.
