MAGPAPATUPAD ang Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) ng suggested retail price (SRP) sa sibuyas upang makontrol ang presyo nito at matiyak na mayroong sapat an suplay sa mga pamilihan.

Ayon kay Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ipatutupad ng DTI ang P250 SRP sa mga pulang sibuyas simula sa Biyernes, Disyembre 30.

“We will stick firmly to the recommended price. The DTI will continue to monitor. We’re trying to find ways to bring the smuggled onions that have been caught na ilagay na sa market para mabawasan ang supply problem,” ani Marcos.

“But there are some legal issues in doing that immediately. So we’re still working on that. But we will keep the prices down by monitoring what’s happening in our palengke,” sabi pa ng Pangulo.

Iniugnay ng Department of Agriculture (DA) ang pagtaas ng presyo sa kakulangan ng suplay ng putting sibuyas matapos na maraming magsasaka ang lumipat sa pagtatanim ng pulang sibuyas.
