INIHAHANDA na ang administrasyong Marcos ang isang food stamp program upang matulungan ang mga mahihirap na Pilipino.

Ang food stamp program ay ipatutupad ng Department of Social Welfare and Development Authority (DSWD) at popondohan ng Asian Development Bank (ADB).

“One of the things that is in the pipeline, that is being developed, that is going to be of great assistance to our people, is a proposal by the DSWD for a food stamp program which, surprisingly, we have never had,” ani Pangulong Marcos.

“But it is something that we can look at. It has been effective in other countries,” sabi pa ng Pangulo.

Kinilala rin ng Pangulo ang mga oportunidad na naibigay ng ADB sa bansa.

Ayon kay Pangulong Marcos ang ADB na ang pinakamalaking official development assistance (ODA) financing sa Pilipinas.

“Now, the scope of the ODA assistance that we get through ADB has now increased. And we are talking about agriculture, we are talking about re-skilling and re-training. We are talking about, of course, climate change and its mitigation and adaptation efforts,” wika pa ng Pangulo.

Pinag-uusapan din umano ng gobyerno at ADB ang mga programa upang mapalakas ang sektor ng enerhiya at agrikultura at matulungan ang mga maliliit na negosyo.
