2 human traffickers timbog; 6 na biktima nasagip
NATIKLO ng mga pulis ang dalawang Taiwanese nationals na pinaniniwalaang sangkot sa human trafficking sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 at nailigtas din ang anim na biktima noong Biyernes.
Nanguna ang PNP Women and Children Protection Center sa pagtiklo sa mga suspek at pagsagip sa mga suspek katulong ang Department of Migrant Workers, Aviation Security Group at NAIA Task Force Against Trafficking noong Sabado.
Palabas na ng bansa ang anim–dalawang babae at apat na lalaki–na biktima nang masagip, ayon sa report.
Nahaharap ang dalawang Taiwanese nationals sa kasong paglabag sa RA 9208 (Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003), ayon sa report.
“Our job is to protect our kababayan. This operation shows that we will go wherever we need to, and do whatever it takes, to stop human traffickers and bring justice to their victims,” sabi ni PNP acting chief Lieutenant General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr.
“Every life we protect is a reminder of why we do what we do. The PNP remains committed to delivering justice and protecting human dignity,” sabi ni PNP spokesperson Brigadier Gen. Randulf Tuaño.
