BINATI sa kanyang panalo at inimbita ni Singaporean President Halimah Yacob si president-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

Nagpadala ng sulat si Yacob kay Marcos na nakakuha ng mahigit 31 milyong boto sa katatapos na halalan.

“On behalf of the people of the Republic of Singapore, I warmly congratulate you on your electoral success,” sabi ni Yacob.

Umaasa si Yacob na magpapatuloy at lalo pang mapatatatag ang ugnayan ng Singapore at Pilipinas sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Marcos.

“Singapore and the Philippines share a warm and longstanding relationship, underpinned by strong economic cooperation and robust people-to-people ties,” dagdag pa ni Yacob.

“I recall fondly the warm and gracious hospitality extended to me by the Filipino people during my State Visit to the Philippines in September 2019. I look forward to working with you to strengthen the friendship between our two countries,” sabi pa ng Singaporean president.

Inalok din ni Yacob si Marcos na bumisita sa Singapore.

“I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to make a State Visit to Singapore. I wish you every success in steering the Philippines to greater heights,” wika pa nito.

Si Yacob ay dumagdag sa listahan ng mga lider ng ibat-ibang bansa na nagpapa-abot ng pagbati kay Marcos.
