NAGBABALA ang Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) sa publiko kaugnay ng mga pekeng SIM registration na idinadaan umano sa email.

Ayon sa DICT nakaabot sa kaalaman nito na mayroong mga nakatanggap ng email na nagsasabi na kailangan ng pre-registration ng kanilang SIM card upang hindi ma-deactivate.

“Said emails inform subscribers with registered accounts with their respective telco’s virtual wallet and mobile payment applications that their accounts are being restricted in accordance with the said law and will only be re-activated upon their participation in a supposed pre-registration process,” sabi ng advisory ng DICT.

Sinabi ng DICT na hindi dapat magbigay ng personal na impormasyon sa mga kahina-hinalang email.

Hindi pa umano lumalabas ang opisyal na guidelines kaugnay ng pagrerehistro ng mag SIM card mula sa DICT, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), at telecommunication companies.
