PINURI ng mga lider ng Kamara de Representantes ang ipinakitang huwarang pag-uugali na ipinakita ni Education Sec. Sonny Angara sa pagsagot sa mga tanong ng mga mambabatas kaugnay ng panukalang P793.18 bilyong pondo ng Department of Education (DepEd) para sa 2025, na malayo umano sa ugali ng pinalitan nitong si Vice President Sara Duterte.

Kinilala ng mga kongresista ang ipinakita ni Angara kahit na ang mga tanong sa kanya ay kaugnay ng mga minana nitong problema sa pinalitang kalihim ng DepEd.

Sinabi ni House Assistant Majority Leader at Ako Bicol Partylist Rep. Jil Bongalon, vice chairman ng House Committee on Appropriations, na magalang at masigasig ang naging pagsagot ni Angara sa mga tanong ng mga mambabatas kahit na anim na linggo pa lamang ito sa puwesto.

“Secretary Angara’s professionalism and composure during the hearing reflect a true commitment to public service. His respectful engagement was a breath of fresh air,” sabi ni Bongalon.

“It’s impressive that Secretary Angara handled these issues so well, especially considering that he inherited these problems from the previous administration,” dagdag pa nito.

Hindi naman napigilang ikumpara ni House Deputy Majority Leader at Tingog Partylist Rep. Jude Acidre ang ugali ni Angara sa mala-bully, at entitled behavior ni Duterte.

“Secretary Angara, in just a short time, has already shown his capability to lead with respect and integrity,” punto ni Acidre. “This is a stark contrast to what we saw from Vice President Sara Duterte, who, during her own budget hearing, displayed a sense of entitlement and resorted to bullying tactics that have no place in a democratic institution.”

Pagpapatuloy pa ni Acidre, “Angara’s willingness to engage constructively, even with the tough questions, is a testament to his dedication and a significant departure from the combative stance of his predecessor.”

Tinukoy din ni House Deputy Majority Leader at Iloilo 1st District Rep. Janette Garin ang pagkakaiba ng ugali nina Angara at Duterte.

“Secretary Angara’s ability to respond clearly and respectfully to every inquiry sets a new standard for leadership at DepEd. His demeanor was the complete opposite of the aggressive and disrespectful attitude shown by his predecessor,” sabi ni Garin.

“It’s commendable how he’s tackling the problems he inherited without complaint, focusing instead on solutions and moving the department forward,” dagdag pa ni Garin.

Sumang-ayon ang tatlong pinuno ng Kamara na ang kilos ni Angara sa pagdinig ng badyet ay nagtatakda ng constructive tone para sa kinabukasan ng DepEd.

Ang kanilang mga pahayag ay nagbigay ng malayong pagkakaiba sa pagitan ng istilo ng pamumuno ni Angara at ng Bise Presidente, na humarap sa malawakang batikos dahil sa kanyang ipinakitang pag-uugali sa pagtalakay ng panukalang badyet ng Office of the Vice President noong nakaraang linggo.
