MAY sorpresang birthday concert party ang sikat na British band na Duran Duran kay Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. sa isang hotel sa Pasay City.

Ayon kay Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Cesar Chavez, mga kaibigan ni Pangulong Marcos ang nag-organisasyon sa concert.

“After a tiring day filled with official engagements, he attended a party thrown by his old friends at a hotel in Pasay, and to his surprise and appreciation, music was provided by Duran Duran,” pahayag ni Chavez.

Ipinagdiwang ni Pangulong Marcos ang kanyang ika-67 na kaarawan noong Setyembre 13.

Pero ayon kay Chavez, bago pa man dumalo sa concert, mahaba na ang naging araw at naging abala si Pangulong Marcos.

Ilang kilometro aniya ang biniyahe ni Pangulong Marcos patungo sa Nueva Ecija para mamahagi ng titulo ng lupa sa mga magsasaka.

“He traveled hundreds of kilometers to grant farmers a condonation of their debts and gifted them with a new financing program that will boost farm yields and farmers’ incomes,” pahayag ni Chavez.

“He ordered the payment of the bills incurred that day by qualified patients in third-level DOH hospitals,” dagdag ni Chavez

Binuksan din aniya ni Pangulong Marcos ang pintuan ng Malakanyang kung saan pinakain ang may 10,000 katao.

“The President celebrated his birthday with his signature compassion for the needy and the sick, and his deep appreciation for the farmers who feed the nation,” pahayag ni Chavez.
