MATAPOS ikalat ang maling balita na na-stroke si Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez, nanawagan si Batangas Rep. Gerville “Jinky Bitrics” Luistro sa publiko na huwag magkalat ng fake news at maniwala lamang sa mga mapagkakatiwalaang source.

“Speaker Martin Romualdez remains in good health and continues to fulfill his duties as a committed public servant with vigor and dedication. These baseless speculations not only distract from the meaningful work being accomplished in the House of Representatives but also undermine the integrity of our public discourse,” ani Luístro.

Iginiit ni Luistro ang pangangailangan na beripikahin muna ang isang impormasyon bago ito ikalat upang hindi magamit ng mga taong nais lamang manira at guluhin ang bansa.

“As citizens, we have a shared responsibility to combat the spread of fake news. I urge everyone to rely on verified and credible sources of information, especially when discussing matters that concern our nation’s leaders,” sabi ni Luistro.

“The Speaker’s leadership and steadfast commitment to service have been instrumental in driving progress and unity within Congress. Let us support him and our other public servants by focusing on constructive and truthful dialogue,” dagdag pa nito.

Nanawagan din si Luistro sa lahat ng stakeholders—media, social media platforms at sa publiko— na manatiling maging mapanuri sa mga impormasyong natatanggap.

“We must foster a culture of truth and respect in our conversations, both online and offline. Misinformation only sows division and distrust, which our nation cannot afford,” saad ng lady solon.

Hinimok din ni Luistro ang publiko na kumuha lamang ng impormasyon sa mga official channel at mga lehitimong news outlet.
