IPINAHAYAG ni House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Gomez Romualdez ngayong Lunes (May 29) na malaking papel ang gagampanan ng Philippine Stocks Exchange (PSE) sa pag-unlad ng ekonomiya ng Pilipinas sa darating na hinaharap.

Sinabi ni Speaker Romualdez na malaki at mahalaga ang papel na gagampanan ng PSE sa pagpapa-unlad ng ekonomiya ng bansa sa pamamagitan ito ng mga earnings o kit amula sa mga stocks na magagamit para sa iba’t-ibang proyekto ng pamahalaan na makapagbibigay ng maraming negosyo at trabaho.

Ang pahayag ng House Speaker ay bahagi ng kaniyang talumpati kaugnay sa ginanap na inauguration ng PSE Event Hall at Ayala Corporation follow-on offering listing ceremony sa PSE Tower, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.

“Our strong belief in the important role of capitol markets in supporting the national development agenda is also the driving force behind our proposed establishment of the Maharlika Investment Fund,” sabi ng House Speaker.

Kasabay nito, nagbigay pugay din si Speaker Romualdez sa PSE dahil sa panibagong “milestone” na tatahakin nito sa darating na hinaharap. Kasunod ng kaniyang pahayag na naniniwala ang liderato ng Kamara de Reprersentantes sa “capitol market” at sa hindi mapapantayang papel na gagampanan ng PSE para sa tinatawag na “economic recovery” ng Pilipinas.

“The corporation that will be created to manage the Maharlika Investment Fund will invariably look to the PSE in its search for blue chip investment opportunities from which handsome dividends may be generated – dividends which shall channeled to fund the government’s strategic social programs towards the achievement of the nation’s larger development goals,” ayon pa kay Speaker Romualdez.
