MULING tiniyak ni Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez ang kanyang suporta sa pagpapalakas ng ugnayan sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at Japan, na isa umanong mahalagang kaalyado ng bansa sa pagpapaunlad ng ekonomiya, depensa at seguridad.

Ginawa ng lider ng Mababang Kapulungan ng Kongreso ang pahayag kasabay ng pakikiisa sa sambayanang Pilipino sa mainit na pagtanggap kay Japanese Prime Minister Ishida Shigeru, na dumating Martes ng hapon para sa dalawang araw na opisyal na pagbisita.

“As Speaker of the House of Representatives, I reaffirm our full commitment to advancing the Philippines-Japan partnership. We recognize Japan’s indispensable role in supporting our development, economic security and national resilience,” ani Speaker Romualdez.

“At a time of rising global uncertainty, it is essential for like-minded nations to stand firmly together. We must protect the rules-based international order, uphold sovereignty, and drive forward a future of shared prosperity and peace,” dagdag pa niya.

Binigyang-diin ni Speaker Romualdez na ang Japan ay “more than a close neighbor.”

“It is a steadfast ally, a trusted friend, and a vital partner in our shared pursuit of peace, prosperity, and resilience. Our relationship is built on common values such as democracy, the rule of law, and the commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific. It has been strengthened by decades of trust, respect and cooperation,” giit ni Speaker Romualdez.

Ipinunto rin ng House leader ang bagong pirmang kasunduan na PH-Japan Reciprocal Access Agreement.

“It marks a new milestone in Philippine-Japan relations. It affirms our shared resolve to deepen defense, security, and strategic cooperation, ensuring that our nations remain strong amid growing regional challenges,” ani Speaker Romualdez.

Binigyang-pugay din niya ang tulong pang-ekonomiya ng Japan.

“Japan’s impact on our economy is equally profound. Its investments in infrastructure, manufacturing, and clean energy have opened more opportunities for Filipinos, creating sustainable jobs and laying the foundation for future growth,” aniya.

Sinabi rin ni Speaker Romualdez na ang Mababang Kapulungan ay nakahanda na makipag-ugnayan at makipagtulungan sa Japan.

“Together, we will champion initiatives that uplift our peoples and strengthen the enduring bond between our nations. Mabuhay ang matatag at makasaysayang pagkakaibigan ng Pilipinas at Japan!” wika pa ni Speaker Romualdez.
