ANG pagtaas ng credit outlook ng Fitch Ratings sa Pilipinas ay pagpapakita umano ng kumpiyansa nito sa administrasyon ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

Ayon kay Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez ang stable rating ng Fitch mula sa negative ay isang “unequivocal vote of confidence” sa socioeconomic agenda ng administrasyong Marcos.

“This is clearly an acknowledgment of our efforts to push through Congress the measures and reforms needed to pursue the eight-point socioeconomic agenda of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., meant to create more jobs, improve social services, and steer the economy irreversibly back to the strong growth path it is on before the pandemic,” sabi ni Speaker Romualdez.

Sinabi ni Speaker Romualdez na tutulong ang Mababang Kapulungan ng Kongreso upang maipasa ang mga panukala na kailangang ng administrasyong Marcos upang mapanatili ang magandang itinatakbo ng ekonomiya at makabangon ang bansa mula sa epekto ng Covid-19 pandemic.

“The House of Representatives will persevere in doing our part to make sure the promise of a strong economy, more and better-paying jobs, food and energy security, and better education and opportunities for our youth are realized within the Marcos administration,” ani Speaker Romualdez.

Noong Lunes ay inanunsyo ng Fitch na binago nito ang credit outlook sa Pilipinas at itinaas ito sa stable mula sa negative para sa Long-Term Foreign-Currency Issuer Default Rating (IDR) at pinanatili ang ‘BBB’ investment grade ng bansa.

Ang stable outlook ay nangangahulugan na mapapanatili ng bansa ang kasalukuyang rating nito sa loob ng 12 hanggang 18 buwan.

Ayon sa Fitch ang ekonomiya ng Pilipinas ay bumabalik na sa “strong medium-term growth” matapos ang pandemya.
