MAY nakalaang P138.77 bilyon ngayong taon para sa higher education programs kasama na ang pondo para sa student subsidy at libreng matrikula sa mga state universities and colleges.

Ayon sa Department of Budget and Management (DBM) ang pondo ay nahahati sa state universities and colleges (P107.04 bilyon), at Commission on Higher Education (P31.73 bilyon).

“This reflects the administration’s commitment to empower our youth. President Bongbong Marcos himself said that education is the only legacy we can leave our children that will never go to waste. Indeed, education is our best investment for the nation,” ani Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman.

Bahagi umano ng budget para sa SUC ang P45.8 bilyon para sa Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Program (UAQTE).

“This is likewise in consonance with the promise of Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte to help the sector produce graduates that are employable,” dagdag pa ni Pangandaman.

Ang Student Financial Assistance Programs ay mayroon namang P1.52 bilyong pondo para sa scholarship at grant-in-aid program ng ay 21,053 estudyante.

Ang Medical Scholarship and Return Service Program ay mayroon namang P500 milyong pondo.
