Suporta ng Kamara sa priority legislative agenda ni PBBM muling tiniyak ni Speaker Romualdez
MULING siniguro ni Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez noong Miyerkules ang suporta ng Kamara de Representantes sa priority legislative agenda ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. matapos ang ika-anim na pulong ng Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council (LEDAC) sa Malacañang.
Sa kanyang pagharap kay Pangulong Marcos at mga miyembro ng 19th Congress, binigyang diin ni Speaker Romualdez ang mabilis na paggulong ng mga prayoridad na lehislasyon ng administrasyon at ang kahalagahan ng nagkakaisang pamahalaan para sa pagkamit ng hinahangad na pag-unlad ng bansa.
Ipinagmalaki ni Speaker Romualdez ang legislative accomplishments ng Kamara. “As of today, September 25, I am pleased to announce that the House of Representatives has approved 60 out of the 64 total LEDAC CLA priority measures.”
“With a deep sense of gratitude to our hardworking members, I also report that the House of Representatives has approved on third and final reading 26 out of the 28 LEDAC Common Legislative Agenda priority measures targeted for passage by the end of the 19th Congress,” pagpapatuloy ni Speaker Romualdez
Kinilala nito ang kolaborasyon sa pagitan ng Lehislatura at Ehekutibo na nagresulta sa signipikante pag-usad ng Philippine Development Plan 2023-2028 at pagsasakatuparan ng Eight-Point Socio-Economic Agenda sa ilalim ng Medium-Term Fiscal Framework.
Binigyang halaga din ni Speaker Romualdez ang pagkakaisa, kasabay ng pagkilala sa ugnayan ng Kongreso at Ehekutibo na dahilan kung bakit mabilis ang pag-usad ng mga mahahalagang panukalang batas.
Tinukoy niya na sa 28 LEDAC priority measures, dalawa na ang naisabatas, apat ang inaasahan nang lalagdaan ng Pangulo, may apat din na ratipikado na ang bicameral committee report, may dalawa na nakasalang sa bicameral conference committee, habang may 14 na passado na sa Kamara at dalawa na lang ang tinatalakay sa komite.
“During the previous LEDAC full council, I reported that the House of Representatives had approved three months ahead of schedule all 20 of the LEDAC CLA measures targeted for passage by June 2024,” sabi ni Speaker Romualdez
“In a similar vein, we are targeting a 100% completion rate of these 28 priority measures by December 2024, or 6 months ahead of the end of the Third Regular Session,” dagdag niya
Kasabay nito ay binigyang importansya rin ni Speaker Romualdez ang nalalapit na pagpapatibay sa General Appropriations Bill (GAB) sa taong 2025.
Nangako siya na aaprubahan ng Kamara ang GAB sa ikalawa at ikatlong pagbasa sa iisang session day na nagpapakita ng kahalagahan nito kaya nagtrabaho ang Kongreso para sap ag-apruba ng pambansang pondo sa tamang oras.
“Last Monday, plenary deliberations on the bill began at 10am and went well into the wee hours of Tuesday morning, ending at 2:56 am,” sabi niya
“Yesterday (Tuesday), we received communication from His Excellency certifying to the urgency of the passage of the 2025 GAB. The House of Representatives commits to approve the FY 2025 General Appropriations Bill on second and third reading by today’s session, before we adjourn for the October recess,” dagdag ni Speaker Romualdez.
Pinasalamatan din niya ang mga kasamahan sa kanilang masigasig na pagta-trabaho na nakatulong para umusad ang 26 sa 28 LEDAC priority bills sa ikatlo at huling pag-basa.
Ipinangako ni Speaker Romualdez na magpapatuloy ang pagtatrabaho ng Kamara upang masigurong lahat ng LEDAC measures ay maaprubahan sa itinakdang legislative deadline.
