SILYADO na ang suporta ng PDP-Laban kay House Majority Leader at Leyte Rep. Martin Romualdez bilang Speaker ng 19th Congress.

Inimbita si Romualdez ng mga opisyal at miyembro ng PDP-Laban sa pangunguna ng pangulo nito na si Energy Sec. Alfonso Cusi upang muling ipahayag ang kanilang pagsuporta sa kanya.

Nagpasalamat naman si Romualdez sa suporta ng PDP-Laban na lalo pang nagpalakas sa puwersa na nagtutulak ng kanyang pagka-Speaker.

“I would like to express my most sincere gratitude to my colleagues. Your gesture today (Thursday) will strengthen our efforts to unify the House and the people we all represent behind the incoming administration of presumptive President Bongbong Marcos,” sabi ni Romualdez.

Sinabi ni Romualdez na bibigyang prayoridad ng susunod na Kongreso ang legislative agenda ni presumptive President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

“More importantly, we are trying to ensure that the priority legislation of the incoming President, President-elect BBM will be aided and supported with measures that will allow him to pursue his agenda for the people,” sabi pa ni Romualdez.

Kasama umano rito ang pagpasa ng bagong stimulus package na maaaring tawaging Bayan Bangon Muli (BBM) bill at ang postponement ng barangay election sa Disyembre.

“It was presumptive President Marcos’ initials, BBM or Bayan Bangon Muli bill stimulus package that will allow the incoming President to harness the resources available during the closing period of 2022 and pass measures that are needed for the pandemic, hopefully endemic stage of this COVID,” dagdag pa ni Romualdez.
