Inigo umaming nataranta at natakot sa L.A. wildfires
Inamin ni Inigo Pascual na matinding takot ang naramdaman niya during the Los Angeles wildfires nitong nakaraang Enero.
Sa panayam kay Inigo sa TFC talk show na “BRGY” hosted by Bianca Gonzalez, ibinahagi niya ang naging experience ng kanyang pamilya na dalawang beses nag-evacuate dahil sa wildfires.
Bale ba ay wala siya sa bahay that time at nasa South America siya kaya naman labis daw ang kanyang pag-aalala.
“Actually, we’re in between two of the big fires. I live in La Crescenta, so near Pasadena, we were closest to the Eaton fire which is the second largest fire that was happening at that time. I was in South America when it happened,” simula ni Inigo.
“It was scary. My mom and my lolo were the only ones in LA. And you know, I have my two cats, I have all my things (in LA),” patuloy niya.
Habang nasa South America raw siya ay panay ang tawag niya sa kanyang mommy at alalang-alala siya.
Kwento niya, sa first night pa lang ng sunog ay nag-evacuate na ang mom at lolo niya.
“The moment that it was on the news, my mom decided to evacuate already. We weren’t given the signal to evacuate yet. Even without it, my mom was like ‘You know I’m not going to take our chances because it’s going to be harder to evacuate once everybody’s already leaving,’” lahad ni Inigo.
“The whole time, you know, it was hard for me to be in the moment where I was at coz I was like, I don’t even know if I’m going to come back to anything, you know, like I’m worried about my cats, I’m worried about the house, my things, my mom, my lolo,” pagbabahagi pa ng anak ni Piolo Pascual.
Mabuti na nga lang daw at hindi naapektuhan ang kanilang bahay pero ikinalungkot niya na maraming nawalan ng bahay.
“A lot of them were seniors. That’s their home. You know, parang it’s hard to see that it’s happening to people that you know. And the neighborhood, of course, that you grew up, the city that you grew up in,” aniya.
“You know, each day, I’m asking for updates, like what’s happening. The whole time, I was on the fire app, just checking if it’s getting any smaller, is it spreading more, coz it was scary, the wind were really strong,” kwento pa ni Inigo.
Pag-uwi raw niya sa LA ay nakabalik na rin ang mom at lolo niya sa bahay nila, safe and sound.
“Everything was good already. Thank God, I was really, really scared, super,” aniya.
