AABOT sa 457 Clinical Care Associates (CCAs) o mga nurse na hindi nakapasa sa board examinations ang sasalang sa pagsusulit.

Sa pakikipagpulong ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. sa Private Sector Advisory Council-Healthcare Sector Group (PSAC-HSG), sinabi ni Paolo Borromeo, head ng Healthcare Sector, na nagtugma ang 457 CCAs sa pitong higher educational institutions (HEIs) para sa board reviews.

“Just happy to say Mr. President that we continue building momentum for what we call clinical care associates’ program. The CCA program as you might recall is our attempt to help the thousands of underboard nurses, people who have graduated from nursing degree, but for one reason or another, they did not pass the test during their time,” pahayag ni Borromeo.

Sa Nobyembre inaasahang kukuha ng pagsusulit ang mga CCAs.

“To date, we have 457 CCAs out of 1,000 that we have budget for. So, we continue to look for more CCAs around the country. It’s a work in progress, I think 457 additional nurses, assuming all of them passed will be a big addition to our list of nurses,” pahayag ni Borromeo.

Tuloy din aniya ang recruitment para sa ikalawang batch ng CCAs para sa susunod na board examinations sa Mayo 2025.

Ayon kay Borromeo, ang hakbang na ito ay pagbibigay solusyon na tugunan ang kakulangan ng nurse sa Pilipinas maging sa ibang bansa.

Nagpasalamat din si Borromeo kay Commission on Higher Education Chairman Popoy de Vera sa pagbalangkas ng programa para matulungan ang mga underboard na mga nurses.
