NALAGPASAN ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) ang target nitong makolekta noong Pebrero.

Nakakolekta ang BOC ng P63.015 bilyon na mas mataas sa ibinigay ditong target na P61.827 bilyon.

Mas mataas din ito sa P59.433 bilyong nakolekta ng BOC noong Pebrero 2022.

Sa unang dalawang buwan ng taon ay P133.380 bilyon na ang nakolekta ng ahensya lagpas ng P8.641 bilyon sa target nitong P124.738 bilyon.

“We will continue to innovate and implement sustainable reforms to boost the Bureau’s collection efficiency, which will contribute to the expansion and recovery of our national economy,” sabi ni Customs Commissioner Bienvenido Y. Rubio.

“For this to be possible, we will also prioritize fostering a healthier trade environment through enhanced and modernized mechanisms for efficient trade facilitation and improved Customs operations for all our stakeholders,” dagdag pa nito.

Nangako rin si Rubio na tutugunan ang direktiba ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. na pagibayuhin ang kampanya laban sa smuggling na lubhang nakakaapekto sa mga lokal na magsasaka at maliliit na negosyo.
