Speaker Romualdez pinapurihan US-PH partnership

PINAPURIHAN ni House Speaker Ferdinand “Martin” Gomez Romualdez ang matatag at matibay na “partnership” o ugnayan sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at United States of America (USA) kaugnay sa pagtugon ng dalawang bansa sa problema ng “global health crisis”.

Sinabi ni Speaker Romualdez na labis niyang ikinagagalak ang unti-unting tumitibay na “partnership” ng Pilipinas at USA hindi lamang sa pagtugon sa “global health crisis” kundi maging ang pagpuksa sa mga kaso ng tuberculosis sa taong 2030.

Binigyang diin ni Romualdez, naging Speaker sa inilunsad ng National Lung Month Celebration sa Kamara de Representantes, ang kahalagahan ng pagkakaisa upang matamo ang isang layunin o “goal” partikular na sa pangangalaga ng kalusugan ng bawat mamamayan.

“Few people would disagree when I say that two of the most important lessons we learned from the recent pandemic are: first, diseases do not recognize territorial boundaries and second, the most effective way to deal with global health emergencies is by working together each and every one of us doing our share,” sabi ni Speaker Romualdez.

Dahil dito, nagpaabot ng taos psuong pasasalamat ang House Speaker sa Amerika partikular na sa USAID dahil sa kahandaan nitong makipag-tulungan sa pamahalaang Pilipinas hinggil sa pagsawata ng TB sa bansa na isa sa mga pangunahing sanhi ng kamatayan ng mga Pilipino.

“In this regard, may I take this opportunity to convey on behalf of all Filipinos our profound gratitude to the United States, particularly the USAID for being a steadfast partner of the Philippine government in eliminating tuberculosis one of the ten leading causes of death in the country,” ayon pa sa House Speaker.
