ISANG bagong medical specialty center ang itatayo sa Clark upang pagsilbihan ang mga residente ng Central at Northern Luzon.

Ayon kay Health Secretary Teodoro Herbosa isang groundbreaking ceremony ang isasagawa sa Hulyo 17 para sa itatayong Clark Multi-Specialty Hospital.

Ang pagtatayo ng ospital ay alinsunod sa Executive Order No. 19, na ipinalabas ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. na nag-uutos sa Philippine Heart Center na magtayo ng sangay nito sa Clark Freeport Zone.

“It will be starting as a general hospital and then (it will) move up to a children’s hospital, and then a cardiac specialty, then the kidney specialty,” ani Herbosa.

Ayon kay Hebosa ang proyekto ay katulad ng plano ng mga public specialty hospital sa Quezon City.

“It will just be like what we have in the North Triangle of Quezon City, wherein you have all the different specialties, and (this time) it will be in that corridor in Clark. That will cover Central and Northern Luzon cases of heart, lung, kidney, and even cancer,” sabi pa ng kalihim.

Sinabi ni Herbosa na matagal ng nais ng Department of Health na paramihin ang mga specialty hospital, mula ng maisabatas ang Sin Tax law na siyang tumutulong upang mapondohan ang programa.

Upang mapabilis umano ang paggawa ang proyekto ay isasailalim ito sa Public-Private Partnership (PPP).

“We’re harnessing the private sector. I’d like to commend the private sector—they’ve been helping us a lot, reaching out, (saying) that they’re willing to help. The government alone can’t do it. The private sector also has a role in improving our health services and specialty services,” dagdag pa ng DOH chief.
