Pagpasok ng PSC sa usufructuary deal pasado na sa Kamara

LUSOT na sa ikatlo at huling pagbasa sa Kamara de Representantes ang panukala na magpapahintulot sa Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) na pumasok sa mga usufructuary agreement para sa pagpapatayo ng Philippine Sports Training Center (PSTC).

Sa botong 273 pabor at walang tumutol, inaprubahan ng Mababang Kapulungan ang House Bill No. 8390 para amyendahan ang Section 7 ng Republic Act No. 11214 o Philippine Sports Training Center Act.

Pinapayagan ng panukala ang PSC na magmay-ari ng PSTC kasama ang mga pasilidad at amenities nito.

“The bill amends the second paragraph of Section 7 to authorize PSC not just to own the title of the land of PSTC but also to allow its use through usufruct, in accordance with the law, either by onerous or gratuitous title,” paliwanag ni Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez

“This gives PSC more flexibility to fulfill its mandate to promote and develop sports in the country, to achieve excellence in international sports competitions, to ensure success in the country’s quest to achieve competitiveness in the Olympic Games, and to promote international amity among nations,” dagdag ni Speaker Romualdez

Noong 2019, pinagtibay ang Philippine Sports Training Center Act para sa pagpapatayo ng PSTC, isang state-of-the-art national sports training facility na itatayo sa Bagac, Bataan, para isulong at paunlarin ang larangan ng sports at suportahan ang mga Pilipinong atleta.
