APRUBADO na ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang e-market procurement system ng Department of Budget and Management para mapabilis ang pagbili ng mga gamit sa gobyerno.

Sinabi ni DBM Procurement Service Executive Director Dennis Santiago na sa ilalim ng bagong online platform, mapapabilis ang procurement process ng pamahalaan.

Pagtalima rin ito sa isinusulong na digitalization ni Pangulong Marcos, ayon sa opisyal.

Nais ng Pangulo na maging transparent at madali ang proseso, dagdag ng opisyal.

“So sa e-Marketplace po hindi na kailangan umupo iyong Bids and Awards Committee where the procuring entity, basically through perhaps their procurement service or let’s say their admin service, will have to go to the e-Marketplace to conduct the procurement itself,” pahayag ni Santiago.

“‘Yong 26 calendar days or 136 calendar days for the procurement of goods mapapaikli talaga. Say, perhaps, longest one week; shortest, three days to be able to procure,” dagdag ng opisyal.

Sinabi naman ni Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman na ang electronic-Marketplace o e-Marketplace digital platform na maihahalintulad sa online shopping ng Amazon, Lazada o Shopee.

“It is a significant component of digital transformation as it leverages the power of the internet and technology to connect businesses, consumers and suppliers in the digital environment.

It is one of the most successful initiatives of the government around the world to deliver services to the public,” pahayag ni Pangandaman.

Ilulunsaad ang e-marketplace sa katapusan ng Hulyo o sa Agosto. Malaki rin aniya ang matitipid na gastos ng gobyerno, ayon kay Pangandaman.

“Kasama po ito sa study na ginawa po namin dati with the World Bank, among other … iyong mga procurement reforms na ginagawa po natin ngayon.

And according to that study po, if we digitalize our process, including the admin process in our national government, 26 to 29 percent of the cost will be saved by the national government,” pahayag ni Pangandaman.

Uunahin aniya sa e-marketplace ang pagbili ng gobyerno ng mga service vehicles.
