HINDI na umano bago ang pagpapatupad ng reorganisasyon sa Mababang Kapulungan ng Kongreso, ayon kay Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

Ito ang sinabi ni Pangulong Marcos bilang komento sa ginawa ng Kamara de Representantes na paghalal kay Pampanga Rep. Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales bilang Senior Deputy Speaker kapalit ni Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, dating Pangulo.

“I really see it as just a run of the mill comes once in while, run of the mill na ginagawa sa House,” sabi ni Pangulong Marcos.

“If you’re in government long enough, you have seen many of this,” ani Pangulong Marcos. “In my time as congressman, I had two terms as congressman, nakatatlo yata kaming ganyan eh and this is just part of reorganization.”

Ayon sa Pangulo, prerogative ng Speaker ang pagpapatupad ng reorganisasyon sa Kamara.

“I don’t think not any of us know what it all means, where the chips will fall after all of this reorganization. I think we should also be careful to not read too much into it,” dagdag pa nito.

Nauna rito, sinabi ni Arroyo na prerogative ng Kamara ang pagbalasa sa liderato.
